Al-Hiyari: The Refinery Adopts the Highest Safety and Quality Standards in All Stages of Gas Cylinder Refilling

The CEO of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC), Engineer Hassan Al-Hiyari, revealed key achievements of the Jordan Gas Company, owned by the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company, during 2024.
Al-Hiyari stated that the number of 12.5 kg household gas cylinders refilled during 2024 reached approximately 35 million cylinders, compared to around 34 million cylinders in 2023, reflecting a significant increase in production volume.
He added that the number of 50 kg gas cylinders refilled during 2024 totaled 2,989 cylinders.

Regarding maintenance and repairs, Al-Hiyari explained that the total number of cylinders repaired at the cylinder workshop reached approximately 195,000 in 2024, marking a 13% increase compared to 2023, which recorded around 170,000 repaired cylinders.

In a related context, Al-Hiyari pointed out that the company scrapped about 43,000 cylinders in 2024, a 64% increase compared to 2023, which saw the scrapping of around 30,000 cylinders. Additionally, 109,000 12.5 kg cylinders were sold during 2024.

As for the quantities of imported liquefied gas, the total imported via tankers reached approximately 387,000 tons in 2024, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to meeting the growing demand for liquefied gas.
