LPG Cylinders Repair and Requalification Workshop
The LPG cylinders factory was established in 1974 to produce LPG domestic cylinders with capacity of 12.5 kg where the production process began in 1976 to cover the Kingdom's demand of LPG cylinders at annual rate of (100) thousand cylinders, in addition to the activities of repair and requalification works for domestic cylinders handled in the local market.
On 01/12/2019, the company’s top management decided to change the name of LPG cylinders factory to be (LPG cylinders repair and requalification workshop) due to the limitation of the activities of the factory to repair and requalification works for cylinders with capacity of (12.5 kg) as well as cancelling the repair works for cylinders with capacity of (50) kg.
The annual rate of repair and requalification works for (12.5 kg) LPG domestic cylinders is around (160,000) cylinders.
The LPG Cylinders Repair and Requalification Workshop includes the following activities:-
Washing the cylinders from inside by using steam.
Repair the foot ring and valve guard of cylinder.
Hydrostatic test of cylinders.
Cleaning the outer surface by grit blasting and painting the surface of cylinders.
Cylinder weighing and printing the tare weight on surface of cylinder.
Installation of new valve and performing pneumatic tightness test.
